Europe Business Development Manager
Helicoid Industries is a well-funded start-up company with disruptive IP and R&D within the advanced composites materials industry. We were founded in 2019 by a seasoned entrepreneur with numerous successful ventures in a broad range of industries. Our company is based on patents and licensing rights for a bio-mimetic disruptive technology that significantly increases composite strength. Helicoid is bringing this new technology to the advanced composites industry by means of licensing arrangements and sales of semi-finished goods and materials. Helicoid has a global presence and a promising pipeline of clients around the world as well as R&D collaborations with international research institutions in US, Europe and Asia.
To accelerate our growth, we are looking for a Europe Business Development Manager capable of generating business leads and short-term revenues with licensing and product supply deals. Business development efforts will be focused on quick time-to-market segments such as sports & consumer goods, motor racing, drones, and urban air mobility. Other composites market segments such as automotive, energy, transportation, marine, defense, and aerospace are also showing interest in our technology, but revenues from these divisions will be longer term.
We are looking for a candidate with solid business development experience, a network in the advanced composites industry, and an engineering background in composites. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making outgoing sales calls rather than waiting for incoming enquiries. Preference will be given to candidates that have sales development experience in technology/patent licensing and/or advanced composites materials/products. The sales process will be high profile, project driven and will likely include layup design recommendations and prototyping of customer’s products. The company will provide strong technical and scientific support as well as all necessary marketing tools.
