David Kisailus PhD.
Chief Scientific Advisor & Director
Professor in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Kisailus, a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and a UNESCO Chair in Materials and Technologies for Energy Conversion, Saving and Storage, received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, and held a post-doctoral fellowship in Molecular Biology. He has over 25 years of experience investigating bio-inspired multifunctional light-weight, tough and impact resistant composites as well as nanoscale materials.
